Dr. Morgan has been involved in church planting since 1978 when he helped to plant Hope Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX. He served as a church planter strategist in Oregon from 1993 to 1998. He was a mission pastor at Saddleback Church training church planters from 1998-2001. From 2001 to 2009 he was the Nehemiah Director and Associate professor of Missions at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Currently he serves as the Professor of Church Planting at the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary and is the Senior National Strategist for the Canadian National Baptist Convention. He speaks on church planting to different groups around Canada and is a regular contributor to e-quip and LEAD360. He has published articles and book chapters related to church planting throughout his career.
